Kathy Larson has been an Extension Economist in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Saskatchewan since 2018. Prior to joining the UofS she worked for the Western Beef Development Centre for 8 years. Her research and extension interests include cost of production, the factors influencing adoption rates of recommended management practices and the value of record keeping. She is a provincial liaison for the Canadian Cow-Calf Cost of Production Network and a member of the Central Prairies Living Lab's socio-economic team. She also provides cost and returns analysis for practices and technologies being researched by colleagues in animal and plant sciences. Originally from a beef and grain farm near Francis in southeastern Saskatchewan, Kathy now calls Prince Albert home.
